EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women’s basketball team and first-year head coach Paul Westhead have one more opportunity to put the fastbreak offense to the test before the official season begins.

The Ducks host Western Oregon at 2 p.m., Sunday at McArthur Court in the program’s final rehearsal before the season opener on Monday, Nov. 16.

FIRST EXHIBITION
On Tuesday, Oregon put its high-octane offense on display defeating Southern Oregon 109-47.

Four starters reached double figures, and all 12 players available scored for the Ducks, led by senior guard Micaela Cocks’ 22-point effort on 9-of-18 shooting. 

Sophomore Jasmin Holliday contributed a double-double with 16 points, a game-high 10 rebounds and a game-high tying five assists, while sophomore Amanda Johnson added 19 points, seven rebounds and a game-high tying five assists.

Redshirt sophomore Nia Jackson, who missed all of last season with a knee injury, made a triumphant return scoring15 points and dishing out three assists.

INJURY UPDATE
Oregon hit the triple-digit plateau on Tuesday without senior guard Taylor Lilley, who returned to practice on Friday, and is expected to play Sunday.

WESTERN OREGON
Last week, Western Oregon was one of just 16 NCAA Division II women's basketball teams to participate in the preseason Disney Tip-Off Classic.

The Wolves suffered back-to-back losses to Southern Indiana, 71-64, and Fort Lewis, 85-52, before defeating San Francisco State, 75-67, to close the tournament.

Oregon fans that checked out the men’s exhibition opener vs. Concordia last Sunday, can also witness first-year head coach Paul Westhead and his run-and-gun offense by bringing their Concordia ticket stub for free general admission to the Ducks final exhibition game vs. Western Oregon at 2 p.m., Sunday.
