EUGENE, Ore. – Pre National Blue Race Champion Luke Puskedra and first team selections Claire Michel and Bria Wetsch led 10 Oregon men and women selected to the Pacific-10 Conference all-academic teams, announced by the league on Thursday.

Puskedra, a sophomore with a 3.61 grade point average in history, won last month’s Pre National Blue Race in Terre Haute, Ind., which us where the Ducks will be competing Monday at the NCAA Championships.

Michel, a sophomore with a 3.90 gpa who double majors in romance languages and international studies, and Wetsch, a senior with a 4.02 gpa in accounting, were both first team women’s selections. Wetsch was a second team selection in 2008.

Sophomore Bronwyn Crossman was a second team pick for the women. She has a 3.84 gpa in family and human services.

Five Ducks garnered all-academic honorable mention status, including 2009 Pac-10 women’s individual champion Nicole Blood. Other Oregon runners selected included A.J. Acosta and Bryce Burgess for the men and Zoe Buckman, Brooke Giuffre and Alexandra Kosinski for the women.
