Now that we're inside of the final third of the season, Jeremiah Masoli has again flipped the switch and is playing at a level beyond possibly every other quarterback in the country. While his four-game finish in 2008 was impressive - 14 total touchdowns, one interception and a quarterback rating of 170.75 - it appears he may have started his late year heroics a game earlier in '09.

Masoli has now played seven games after Nov. 1 during his UO career. Oregon's record in those games is 6-1 (the lone setback coming at Stanford this season). His statistical totals down the stretch are staggering. The junior has completed 118 of 200 passes (59 percent) for 1,712 yards (244.6 per game), 15 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has carried the ball 83 times for 477 yards (5.7 ypc, 68.1 ypg) and 11 scores. All told, that's 2,189 yards of total offense, or 312.7 per contest, and 26 touchdowns. In seven games.

And these numbers aren't being put up against the likes of Florida International or Charleston Southern (undoubtedly fine institutions of higher learning, if not winning football programs), but Stanford, Arizona, Oregon State, Oklahoma State and Arizona State. The Sun Devils are the only team in that group that had a losing record, while five of the games came against teams ranked or receiving votes in the major polls. Also of note, only three of the seven games have been at Autzen Stadium.

In the other 15 games Masoli has played in over the past two seasons, he has 2,757 total yards (183.8 ypg) and 23 touchdowns, while the Ducks are 11-4.
