EUGENE – The University of Oregon and Pacific-10 Conference have announced several alterations to the Ducks’ 2008 football schedule that will assure Oregon of at least one television appearances as part of the conference’s network TV package.
Oregon will open the 2008 season at home Aug. 30 against the University of Washington instead of the previously scheduled season opener vs. Boise State. Following a Sept. 6 home game against Utah State, the Ducks will travel to Purdue on Sept. 13 before returning home to host Boise State Sept. 20.
The Washington games is scheduled to be televised as part of the league's television agreement with ABC/ESPN.
The remaining changes call for Oregon’s Nov. 22 game at USC to be moved up to Oct. 4 in Los Angeles, while it’s Oct. 18 contest at Arizona State will be delayed a week until Oct. 25.
