2015 Oregon Track & Field Camp

Sunday June 28th - Thursday July 2nd

We invite you to join us here in TrackTownUSA where you will experience the magic of Historic Hayward Field. Many track and field greats have come and gone and have left a special legacy for passionate and aspiring young athletes.

Our 2015 track and field camp welcomes high school athletes looking to improve and grow in the sport of track and field. There are no specific performance requirements to attend our camp so athletes of all ability levels are encouraged to attend.

In order to provide a valuable experience, campers will be split up by event area and then again into small groups to encourage personal attention and to provide plenty of feedback. Campers will be taught by the University of Oregon's renowned coaches alongside many of Oregon's current and former student-athletes.

Event groups are outlined below. Please note that campers will have the opportunity to cross over into other groups but we believe campers will maximize their experience if they focus on one main group for the duration of the camp.

Sprint / Jump Group: 100m, 200m, 400m, 100mH, 110mHH, 300mH, Long Jump, Triple Jump (some relay work will be done for 4x100, 4x400m)

Distance Group: 800m, Mile/1500m, 3000/3200m, 5k, 10k, Cross Country

Throws Group: Javelin, Hammer, Shot Put, Discus

Field Event Group: Heptathlon/Decathlon, High Jump, Pole Vault*

*ATTENTION POLE VAULTERS: This is NOT an elite vault camp. Instruction will include basic techniques and drills while maintaining specific safety standards. Vaulters are required to bring their own poles. Contact the camp director for questions regarding shipping.

Please note that this is our only planned camp for 2015. There will not be a distance-only camp this summer.

The Oregon Track & Field Camp is open to boys & girls ages 14-19 who have not yet started University/College. Campers must be starting grade 9 in the fall of 2015 in order to attend our camp.

We do not have any performance requirements or standards in order to attend our camp. All event areas and ability levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.
