One of team’s most-called upon reserves, played 25 sets and 17 matches (including nine matches and 16 sets in conference play). In final month of regular season had four matches where she played multiple sets. Played a career-high three sets in 3-2 wins and comebacks vs. No. 7 UCLA and No. 4 Washington. Also played three sets vs. No. 7 Stanford when she had a career-high two kills in her three attempts (and hit a career best .667), and added a block assist for 2.5 points – both personal bests – in Pac-10 play. In early season, her three blocks in three sets vs. Seattle led to a career-high 3.0 points. Also registered single blocks in three other matches and all against NCAA qualifiers (No. 9 Minnesota, No. 3 and No. 4 Washington). Occasionally subbed in for defensive purposes for starting setter Nevena Djordjevic late in tightly-contested matches, and added two assists in upset of No. 5 Stanford.

After enrolling at Oregon in spring of 2008, worked hard to raise her level of play in the Pac-10, ‘The Conference of Champions’...stood out as a top middle blocker newcomer on a unit that that ranked 25th nationally in blocks per set (2.58)...her height and athleticism earned her action in 15 matches – second-most on the team among freshmen – and seven league postseason, saw action vs. Delaware and Iowa State and played one and two sets, respectively...came up with block in four matches...registered first collegiate kill and had season high 1.5 points vs. Central Florida in Jayhawk Invitational at Kansas in second week of season in early September...logged a single dig in three different matches and scored points in five contests. 

The 2007 prep graduate was tabbed as the Gladstone High School Sportswoman of the Year, QAL Athlete of the Year, and the Best Blocker / Hitter / MVP of the TransTasman Series...Helped lead prep squad to QLD Schools Cup title in 2007 and ‘06 and was team captain in ‘07....her team won the U-17 Australian Junior Volleyball Championships in 2004 and ‘06...also in ‘06, was tabbed an AJVC All-Star and TransTasman Series Best Blocker, and helped team to Australian Open Women’s Schools Cup championship...coached by Brian VanderWeide.

Parents are Paul and Rosalynd...has one brother, Laurie, and two sisters, Sian and Emily, the latter of which is a collegiate setter for Hawai’i-Hilo...General Science major.
