Made the most appearances of any Oregon pitcher, coming out of the bullpen in 28 games...tossed a total of 21 and 2/3 innings, with a 1-1 record, 5.40 ERA and 15 his first five outings of the season, held opponents to one run on five hits while striking out four...on the year, held batters to a .224 average with runners his first appearance of the season, came in during the bottom of the seventh inning with the bases loaded as Oregon led Saint Mary’s (2/20), 5-3, in the opener...on the first pitch got the Ducks out of the jam by picking an infield chopper to turn a 1-2-3 double play...picked up his only win for the Ducks in a 1-0 victory over #15 Fresno State (2/27), coming on in the top of the ninth in relief of Tyler Anderson and retiring the side in order...with two runners on recorded a strikeout to end the seventh inning during Oregon’s 3-2, 10-inning victory over Oregon State (3/28).

Earned Freshman All-American honors at Chabot Junior College in 2005 before going on a two-year mission and returning to the diamond in 2008...on the mound at Chabot in 2008, appeared in 18 games, pitching 69 and 2/3 innings, and finishing with a 7-2 record and 3.64 ERA...named to the all-Northern California team...also voted the Coast South Pitcher of the Year.

A 2004 graduate of East Union High School in Manteca (Calif.), was a three-sport athlete for the Buffalo...played two years of baseball (outfield, pitcher, infield) for head coach Dan Triglia...also played soccer for three seasons and one year of football as a junior.

Born Dec. 14, 1985 in Hobbs, N.M...parents are Robert and Christine Fleckenstein...has two brothers; Michael and Christopher...major is sociology.
