Talkin' Lot's of Duck Fun This Weekend
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
What a crazy busy weekend coming up. Duck fans, please rest up.....we need you this weekend. It's Homecoming weekend and that's means lots of extra Ducks will be in town with plenty to do. There are three men's basketball games. All are part of the six game 'Basketball Travelers Tip Off Tourney'. The Ducks play Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon. They're a young but veteran team this year and I already see big improvement in an uptempo pressing style of basketball that I think fans will love. All three games will be live on the Oregon Sports Network and available on the OZone.
Saturday morning Oregon will host the NCAA West Regional for Cross Country at Springfield Country Club. There's free transportation and the event is free for fans. Check Go Ducks.com for more info.
The volleyball team is out of town this weekend in the bay area for Stanford and Cal.
And of course it's Duck Football Saturday night with the 7:20 kickoff on ESPN nation wide. Watching practice yesterday and today it's easy to see that the guys are working as hard this week as they have all season. The foucus is good, the hitting is good, and there's no doubt they know what's on the line every week. They came out of the Stanford game in good shape injury wise. And as if they didn't already have it, ASU got there attention with how tough they played USC. And the weather right now looks good for Saturday night! (I know....this is Oregon)
Again, for times and and info on buses to the events this weekend, watch Go Ducks.com for details. By the way, because of the busy Saturday schedule with Cross Country, Basketball, and Football, there will be NO LTD buses for the men's basketball game on Satuday. So car pool or come early to find parking and get there for the 2:00pm tip.
