Made 16 appearances and 12 starts, finishing the year with a 7-2 record and 3.24 ERA … Pitched in two combined shutouts, and struck out 73 in a total of 77.2 innings on the mound … Held opposing batters to a .249 clip … Had seven quality starts and led the Ducks to a 9-3 record when starting … In Pac-10 play made six appearances and three starts, finishing 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA and striking out 13 in 21 innings pitched … Struck out a then career-high 12 and picked up the win in a 3-2 victory over Saint Mary’s that clinched the series after tossing seven innings, and allowing one run on five hits and two walks ... Matched a career high tossing eight innings, and surrendering just three runs while scattering seven hits, issuing two walks and hitting three batters in a 6-3 win at Washington State as the Ducks earned their first win ever in Pullman since reinstatement ... Held No. 6 Oregon State to one run on five hits and six walks while striking out five and picking up the win as Oregon defeated OSU, 4-1, to claim the season and Pac-10 series victories.
Pitched for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League … Was named to the Cape Cod All-Star Game and was named Falmouth’s Pitcher of the Year… Falmouth finished the season with a 21-22-1 record and in second place of the Western Division … Jones was 3-3 on the mound in 34 and 1/3 innings … Finished with a 2.36 ERA, .177 opposing batting average and 26 strikeouts …Fellow Duck KC Serna was also on the squad.

Made 20 appearances on the mound and one start … Finished with a 2-2 record, 3.71 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched … Earned the first win of his career, tossing 2.1 innings of shutout relief at Arizona in Oregon’s 9-8 victory … Allowed one unearned run and was credited with the win after throwing 3.1 innings and dealing a then career-high three strikeouts in a 4-2 win over Portland ... Saved his best performance of the year for last, tossing four innings of one-run baseball in relief, allowing one hit, walking three and striking out four in the Ducks 5-3 loss to No. 10 Florida State at the NCAA Regional’s in Norwich, Conn.
A 2009 graduate of Monte Vista High School in Danville, Calif.... A three-year varsity player for head coach Bill Piona, led the East Bay Athletic League in strikeouts (112), ERA (.66) and wins (8) in 74 innings pitched his senior year ... Was selected first-team All-EBAL, and was awarded Scholar Athlete of the Year honors (Spring) by Cal Hi Sports Bay Area ... Voted MVP for Monte Vista high school by his teammates following his junior and senior seasons ... As a junior, led the EBAL in strikeouts with 108 in 72 innings and was third in ERA at 1.17... That year was selected second-team All-EBAL and third-team All-East Bay...also the Monte Vista high school 2009 Scholar Athlete of the Year.
