The Oregon lacrosse team hits the road this weekend to play two traditional East coast powers and top-25 teams. The Ducks will play No. 4 ranked and undefeated North Carolina on Friday and battle No. 17 ranked William & Mary on Sunday. Oregon is 0-4 all-time against the Tar Heels, including 0-3 in Chapel Hill, but will meet the Tribe for the first time.

North Carolina (3-0) has played and beaten Denver, Vanderbilt and Richmond thus far in 2010. The Tar Heels have a balanced offensive attack, with Corey Donohoe, Kristen Taylor and Becky Lynch all have seven or more goals and 10 or more points. Starting goal keeper Logan Ripley has a 6.77 goals against average and 14 saves.

William & Mary has a record of 1-1, with a win over No. 16 ranked Ohio State and loss to No. 5 Duke. The Tribe have had seven different players score goals in their two games, with Molly Wannen's six scores leading the way. Starting goalie Emily Geary has a 15.42 goals against average and has faced 55 shots this season, allowing 30 goals and making 18 saves. Oregon lost 15-7 at No. 9 North Carolina last season. In each of Oregon's four matches will the Tar Heels, UNC has been ranked in the top-10, including No. 1 in 2007.

Oregon has been an offensive juggernaut in its two games in 2010, scoring 22 goals in each game. Oregon has outscored their opponents 44-14 so far, with Alex Breiner's nine goals leading the way. Oregon has matched it's program record of 22 goals scored in a single game in both of it's contests to begin the year.
