Associate athletic director James Harris began work with the University of Oregon Athletic Department in 2007 after a five-year tenure as coordinator of sports nutrition at the University of Nebraska.
Harris was named the football program's chief of staff in 2012 after spending the previous five years overseeing the implementation of nutrition plans for all sports.
He earned an undergraduate degree in nutritional science and dietetics from Nebraska in 2000, as well as a master's in nutrition and health sciences in 2004.
James has been a member of the American Dietetics Association since 2001, has been active in the International Society of Sports Nutrition since 2003, and has been involved with the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionist Association since 2004.
