From The Dugout: Honors Pouring In For Ducks

The countdown is on for the 2011 baseball season as we are just 45 days away from opening day in Hawaii on Feb. 18.

On Monday, Baseball America released its 2011 College Top 100 Draft Prospect list.

Oregon junior left-hander Tyler Anderson was ranked as the 16th 2011 college prospect, while junior right-hander Scott McGough was ranked 47th.

Recently Kendall Rogers from Yahoo Sports named Oregon head coach George Horton as one to watch for 2011. Read the article HERE.

College Baseball Daily is also continuing its countdown of the top 100 collegiate players for the 2011 season.

Oregon junior shortstop KC Serna, as well as McGough and Anderson made the list.

Anderson has also recently received three pre-season All-American nods from three different publications: College Baseball Lineup, Collegiate Baseball, and the Pro-Line Athletic National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

On Dec. 20, Oregon received a No. 9 ranking from the annual Collegiate Baseball Top-40 Preseason poll. Read the release HERE.
