Played in 22 games for the Rochester Honkers (25-45) of the Northwoods League, batting .308 with 11 runs scored, three doubles, six runs driven in, one home run and six stolen bases.

AS A FRESHMAN | 2011
Started 58 games during Oregon’s 60-game season batting .270 on the year…spent most of his time in right field, and led the Ducks with 36 RBIs while being issued a team-high 25 walks…in addition, scored 29 runs with 57 hits, 10 doubles, two triples and two home runs…was 6-for-8 in stolen base attempts, and led UO’s outfield  with seven assists…led the Ducks with 11 multiple-RBI games and drove in the game-winning run on a team-best five occasions…also led UO starters batting .329 (23-for-70) with runners in scoring position and recorded a team-best 19 two-out RBIs…set UO freshman records with 59 games played, 211 at-bats, 57 hits, 36 RBIs and 77 total bases…was named Pac-10 Player of the Week on March 21 after the Ducks swept San Diego on the road…during the USD series hit.500 (5-for-10) against the Toreros with two RBIs and four runs scored despite being walked intentionally three times…opened the year on an eight-game hitting streak batting .452 (14-for-31) with five extra-base hits ( two doubles, one triple, two home runs, six RBIs, four runs scored, a .774 slugging percentage and .514 on-base percentage)…in the first series of his career hit two home runs at Hawai’i, including leading off the series finale with a solo shot (02/21)…season highlights;  hit a bases-loaded two-run single in the eighth that scored the game-winning run as the Ducks clinched the series with a  4-2 victory over BYU (03/11), drove in five runs during UO’s sweep of BYU…drove in three with a two-run double in UO’s 14-3 victory over Portland (04/19)…hit 2-for-4, drove in two runs, and scored a run as Oregon clinched a series win over No. 23 Arizona with a 7-3 victory (04/23)…drove in five runs in the series sweep of No. 6 Oregon State to end the season…In the series opener drove in two runs on sacrifice fly and fielder’s choice during the 4-1 victory (05/27)…in the bottom of the third trailing 1-0 with the bases loaded and two outs against him, drove a bases-clearing double against an 0-2 count down the left field line to help Oregon clinch the series over the Beavers with a 4-1 win (05/28).

2010 SUMMER
Played for the Kelowna Falcons of the West Coast Collegiate League…was named the league’s No. 11 prospect by Perfect Game Crosschecker…in 21 games, hit .346 with 15 RBIs, 10 runs scored, three doubles and one home run…drew 11 walks and had an on-base percentage of .440.

2010 MLB DRAFT
Selected in the 38th round (1,133 overall) by the Boston Red Sox.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2010 graduate of San Clemente High School…played four years of both baseball and football for the Tritons…as a senior in 2010 was named co-MVP of the South Coast League, sharing the honor with current UO teammate Stefan Sabol…his nine home runs and 35 RBIs led San Clemente and set new school records…was also named to the CIF Southern Section Division I First Team…was named to the 2010 Max Preps California All-State First Team, and was also named Orange County Register All-County, and played in the Orange County All-Star game…was a LA Times High School Baseball All-Star…finished first or second in the SCL of five statistical categories; batting average (.467, 2nd), home runs (9, 2nd), slugging percentage (.978, 1st), RBI (35, 1st), on-base percentage (.541, 2nd)...as a junior in 2009 was a South Coast League second-team selection after batting .352 with 13 runs scored, 13 RBIs, five doubles, one home run, 13 walks, eight stolen bases, a .448 on-base percentage and a .465 slugging percentage…played with current Oregon freshman Aaron Payne.
