2011 Northwoods All-Star Game

AS A SOPHOMORE | 2012
Started the season as Oregon’s Sunday starter, but missed half of the year with a muscle strain, making his final start on April 15 at Stanford ... Returned to the diamond in Oregon’s final game of the year, tossing two and a third innings of shutout relief in a 3-2 loss to Kent State in the Eugene Super Regional ... Finished the season with a 4-1 record and 3.42 ERA in 11 appearances, nine starts and 52.2 innings pitched ... Struck out 37, and held opposing batters to a .235 clip ... Season highlights included pitching a complete-game shutout, surrendering only four hits, striking out six, and walking two batters en route to a 4-0 win against the University of Connecticut ... Tossed 6.1 shutout innings, holding Arizona State to two hits while striking out five. He managed to hold ASU scoreless despite issuing six walks in a 4-3 series-sweeping win ... In 6.1 innings of work, held Washington to one run on six hits while striking out a career-high eight batters and issuing just two walks. Was in line for the win before the game-tying run was surrendered in the bottom of the ninth by the bullpen, but UO prevailed in extra innings, 3-2 ... In final start of the season before suffering a muscle strain, tossed just one inning before leaving the game, allowing two runs on one hit and three walks, taking first loss of the year at Stanford ... Tossed four innings, allowing five runs on six hits, while walking two and striking out two in a no decision as Oregon fell 8-6 at No. 5 UCLA ... Was in line for the win as Oregon led Utah 3-2 when he exited the game in the top of the seventh. In 6.1 innings pitched, allowed two runs on five hits while issuing three walks … He struck out seven and retired 10 consecutive batters at one point, and struck out the side in the third in UO’s 4-3 loss to the Utes ...  Pitched 4.2 innings to help Oregon come from behind to defeat Long Beach State, 8-7 ... Tossed five innings and allowed five runs – two earned – on seven hits and four walks while striking out four in a 7-6 win at No. 17 Vanderbilt which swept the series ... Earned the win, tossing 6.2 innings, allowing four runs – three earned – while surrendering five hits and issuing four walks but also striking out three in a 14-5 victory at Hawaii.

SUMMER 2011
Had an exciting season for La Crosse (38-31) as the Loggers remained in the playoff hunt through the final week of the regular season, but finished third in the South Division as Green Bay got the second playoff spot … Was named to the Northwoods League All-Star Game finishing sixth in the league among starters managing a 2.46 ERA … In 11 starts finished the summer with a 6-1 record, and in 77 innings pitched recorded 51 strikeouts … Also received the Loggers Cy Young Award … Considered the No. 21 ranked prospect in the NWL by Perfect Game … The Loggers finished the summer ranked 44th in the Perfect Game Summer Collegiate Team Rankings.

AS A FRESHMAN | 2011
Made 12 relief appearances and one start, finishing the year with a 1-1 record and 2.08 ERA … Pitched in a total of three combined shutouts, and in 17.1 innings on the mound totaled 10 strikeouts … In Pac-10 play made four appearances and pitched 2.1 shutout innings while striking out three and holding opposing batters to a .111 clip … In his only start, picked up the win tossing six innings of shutout baseball, holding Gonzaga to just three hits while walking four and striking out one in a 6-0 victory … Pitched one inning of shutout relief and struck out one in a 10-0 win over BYU … Pitched one inning of shutout relief and struck out one in a 9-0 win over Washington … Pitched one inning of shutout relief and struck out one  in a 14-3 victory over Portland … Faced three batters in the bottom of the ninth and shutout Portland while striking out one as the Ducks claimed the season series with a 7-2 victory.

A 2010 graduate of Chaminade High School in West Hills, Calif.… A two-sport athlete for the Eagles … Played four years of both baseball and football … On the diamond for head coach Frank Mutz, appeared on the mound and also played in the outfield … In 2010 was named to CIF Southern Section Division II First Team, and was also voted the Mission League Player of the Year ... Went 9-2 on the mound with a 1.45 ERA , four shutouts and 103 strikeouts … At the plate, batted .402 with eight home runs and 19 RBI … Helped the Eagles advance to the Division II quarterfinals, and was named to the 2010 Daily News Baseball All-Area Team … Was named to the Max Preps California All-State Baseball Second Team and the Cal-Hi Sports all-state baseball second team … Also played in the City vs. Southern Section All-Star game … Entering his senior year was the 67th-ranked recruit in the state of California according to PerfectGame Crosschecker ... As a junior batted .338 with five home runs and 25 stolen bases ... On the mound maintained a 2.62 ERA and had 40 strikeouts in 40 innings ... Was a four-time All-Mission League selection … Also played for the Milwaukee Brewers Gray Area Code team along with fellow UO teammates Brandon Brennan and Ryon Healy ... On the football field, played wide receiver, running back, defensive back and quarterback gaining 2,500 all-purpose yards his senior year for head coach Ed Croson … Was named the Mission League Offensive Player of the Year … Played in the Daily News Football All-Star Game.
