EUGENE, Ore.- The University of Oregon women's soccer head coach Tara Erickson has announced the addition of seven new Ducks to the squad as they signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday in conjunction with National Signing Day. The new Ducks join the rest of the team on campus in fall 2012.
In all, three different states, Oregon, California and Washington, are represented within the class. Of the seven, two pairs of signees hail from the same club team.
"This is an exciting class for Oregon soccer," said Erickson. "I feel like each and every one of these student-athletes are not only elite players who are going to help us compete for a Pac-12 championship, but will also represent our program in a first-class manner both in the classroom, as well as the community. As a whole the seven represent all the positions on the field, but there is definitely an offensive concentration here with this group."
With the exception of Connors who was signed as a goalkeeper and Beutler, who will primarily be used as a midfielder, five signees have the ability to play in various positions for Erickson.
