Saturday starter as a true freshman, finished the season with an 8-4 record, 2.92 ERA and a staff-leading 15 quality starts ... Named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American and received Pac-12 honorable mention accolades ... Also named to the Eugene All-Regional Team ... In 17 starts, pitched a total of 114.0 innings, and held opposing batters to a .230 clip while striking out 67 ... Went 2-0 in the postseason in two starts, allowing two earned runs in 13.2 innings while striking out 14 and holding batters to a .149 clip ... In a must-win game against Kent State at the Eugene Super Regional, helped Oregon halt the Golden Flashes’ 21-game win streak by holding Kent State to two runs on five hits and two walks, while fanning six in 6.2 innings … After surrendering a run in the fourth against KSU, retired nine consecutive batters ... Brilliant from the start, shutting out Austin Peay for seven innings on just two hits with a career-high eight strikeouts as the Ducks won the Eugene Regional with an 8-1 victory ... In a 3-2 loss at No. 23 Oregon State, delivered six strikeouts, but allowed three runs on five hits and four walks in 6.1 innings...allowed three runs on 10 hits while issuing three walks in 6.2 innings on the hill in a no decision as Oregon defeated Seattle 5-4 ... Credited with the win, surrendering two runs while scattering seven hits, while striking out three in Oregon’s series-clinching 3-2 win over California ... Was in line for the win after holding Washington State to two runs on six hits, while striking out five, in an 8-3 loss ... Pitched seven shutout innings in the 5-0 win at No. 6 Stanford, allowing just two hits, issuing two walks and striking out two ... Earned second straight victory on the mound, limiting UCLA to three runs on five hits and two walks, while striking out two in six innings of work as UO clinched the series with an 8-3 win ... In 7.1 innings on the mound, allowed three runs on four hits while striking out five, against Utah in a no decision as Oregon went on to defeat The Utes 5-3 ... Took the complete-game loss, allowing five runs (four earned) in a career-best eight innings on the mound vs. Washington... Credited with the loss despite recording fourth quality start in a 3-2 loss to 22nd-ranked Oklahoma. In 6.2 innings, Reed allowed two runs – one earned – on five hits and three walks ... Allowed just one run over his 7.1 pitched, striking out six, and allowing only five hits in Oregon’s 3-2 win over Long Beach State ... Recorded his second quality start and picked up his first collegiate win tossing six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five at No. 17 Vanderbilt ... In his first career start, Reed tossed six innings allowing two runs (one earned) while striking out four.

A three-sport athlete and 2011 graduate of Helix High School in La Mesa, Calif.… Helped Helix to a 25-9 record and its first CIF San Diego Section II Championship since 1988 as the Highlanders defeated Steele Canyon 7-3 with Reed on the mound … Named to the Max Preps California All-State Second Team, Cal-Hi Sports Third-Team, the San Diego Section First-Team and the Grossmont Hills League First-Team after finishing his senior season with a 9-1 record, 0.63 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 67 innings pitched … Was also named the San Diego Section Division II Pitcher of the Year … A three-time league pitcher of the year and two-time all-county selection … The 34th-ranked player (232 nationally) in the state of California according to Perfect Game … A 2010 First-Team All-Grossmont Hills League selection following his junior … At the plate tallied 33 RBI, and on the mound managed a 2.24 ERA and 90 strikeouts … Helped the Highlanders reach the Division II championship game with back-to-back game-winning hits in the playoffs, including a walk-off two-run homer that broke a 4-4 tie and advanced Helix to the championship game … A Union-Tribune All-Academic Team selection…On the football field as a senior helped Helix to the CIF San Diego Section Division II semifinals and Grossmont Hills League championship with an 11-0 record as the team’s kicker … In 2009 as a quarterback for Helix, passed for 1,691 yards with 15 touchdowns … Also played basketball for two seasons at Helix.

Played three years for SD Show and head coach Brian Cain as a pitcher and middle infielder … Team won the 2011 East Cobb National Championship tournament.
