Each week OHEROES sits down with one of our student-athletes to get to know more about them on and off of the court. This week we feature Chynna Miley, a 6'2" sophomore forward on the Oregon women's basketball team.

Chynna is a dedicated student; she is double majoring in Family and Human Services (FHS) and Women's and Gender Studies (WGS) and pursuing a minor in Journalism. Atop her extremely full course load and the demands of being a collegiate student-athlete, she has made a lasting impression in her community through her work with O Heroes.

Anyone who knows Chynna will tell you that she is a natural-born philanthropist. It is no secret around the O Heroes office that she is the go-to girl when new opportunities arise to give back to the community. She routinely volunteers at the Eugene Service Unit (a Girl Scouts Troop in Eugene) and is an active member and team representative for SAAC. Chynna involves herself in many O Heroes community events and most recently volunteered in Eugene's Truffle Schuffle.

Chynna's post-graduate plans are attending law school and using her FHS and WGS undergraduate experience to start an organization that helps children in underserved communities: "Putting Smiles on children's faces is priceless to me, so that is what I will continue to do."
