EUGENE, Ore.- The University of Oregon lacrosse team (8-4, 3-0 MPSF) handled Fresno State (2-7, 0-3 MPSF), 21-4, in front of 512 fans at Pape' Field Friday afternoon.

Friday's match marked the second straight match that the Ducks have tallied 20 or more goals, with Friday's goal tallying becoming their season high.

Sophomore Hayley Milner got the scoring going for Oregon after senior Jana Drummond was able to secure the draw and pass it off to her sister, Jess Drummond, who found Milner waiting to give UO a 1-0 lead.

The Ducks were awarded a free position attempt on their next possession, but did not take the shot instead Milner passed it to senior Kristina Barrett to give the Severna Park, Md. native her 17th goal of the season and give Oregon a 2-0 advantage.

Fresno State was able to set up their offense and get one of the goals back off the stick of Natalie Harrington and cut the lead to 2-1.

But the Ducks ended up scoring 10 straight goals with the last one coming by senior Lara Bennett at the 1:34 hash to put Oregon up 12-1.

The Bulldogs ended the first 30 minutes of play with Lauren Natale recording two goals, but it was not enough as the Ducks pulled a 12-3 lead into the half.

Both coaches made goalkeeper changes at the half with Oregon bringing in junior Salliebeth Finnegan and Fresno State bringing in Lisa Barnaba.

Fresno State's Taylor Fiehler committed a quick foul to open the second half, setting up Ja. Drummond for the free position shot and Drummond had no problem making it her 16th goal of the season at the 28:25 tally.

The Bulldogs just did not have an answer for the Duck offensive attack and ended up dropping the match by the final score.

Fresno State committed 17 fouls, setting up Oregon for 10 free position shots. The Ducks sank seven of those attempts, setting the new UO record for most free position goals, breaking the old record of six recorded on three different occasions.

Having to only face five shots in the first half, earning saves on two of those, sophomore Caroline Federighi was awarded the victory, moving her overall record to 8-3 on the season. Katie Wilbur took the lost to move to 1-4.

The Ducks were led by Ja. Drummond's season-high five goals. Reigning MPSF Player of the Week Shannon Propst scored three goals for the third straight match while Milner and sophomore Sami Kiser contributed two goals each.

Sophomore Nikki Puszcz added one goal and a match-high three assists. Barrett also recorded two assists.

Oregon returns to Pape' Field on Sunday at 1 p.m. to face UC Davis.
