EUGENE, Ore.- University of Oregon head soccer coach Tara Erickson has finalized her schedule for the 2012 campaign.

The Ducks start off 2012 competition with a spring exhibition slate of six matches that will be played in Corvallis and Portland. Oregon faces Oregon State on Apr. 14 and Trinity Western on Apr. 15 at 11 a.m. on both days. Due to the Beavers resurfacing their field, the matches will take place at OSU Intramural Field No. 3. A week later on Apr. 22, the Ducks head to Portland for matches with St. Martin's at noon and Concordia at 6 p.m. UO then closes out with Portland on Apr. 28 at 2 p.m. and Portland State on May 5 at 2 p.m. at Hillsboro Stadium.

"I am very excited to announce our 2012 fall schedule to our fans" said Erickson.  "Obviously the Pac-12 provides us with a fantastic strength of schedule, but we have sought out additional quality non-conference opponents to enhance our preseason schedule. We will face seven teams who were selected to compete in last year's NCAA tournament, including NCAA Champion Stanford. "

Oregon returns to action in the fall to welcome UAB to the new facility on Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. After facing the Blazers, UO heads onto the road for a pair of matches against Portland on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. and Portland State on Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. Oregon closes out the month of August with a 7 p.m. match against UC Irvine in Eugene on Aug. 31.

To open September, the Ducks take on Pacific in Stockton, Calif. on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. and closes out the weekend on Sept. 9 with Saint Mary's in Moraga, Calif. at 3 p.m. Oregon ends a stretch of eight straight non-conference matches against Seattle (Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.) and Gonzaga (Sept. 16 at 1 p.m.) in Eugene.

UO hops into Pac-12 play against Colorado on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. in Eugene, but plays the final non-conference match of the season against BYU on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. in Eugene.

The Ducks make the trip to the Bay Area to end the month of September facing Cal on Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. and then takes on the defending Pac-12 and National Champions from Stanford on Sept. 30 at noon.

Oregon returns to Eugene for a pair of matches with UCLA (Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.) and USC (Oct. 7 at 1 p.m.) before heading back out on the road for a match with Utah on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. in Salt Lake City.

With no match on that Sunday, the Ducks will have additional time to get ready for matches with Arizona on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. and Arizona State on Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. in Eugene.

UO makes its final road trip of the season to the Evergreen State, first going to Seattle to take on Washington at 5 p.m. on Oct. 26 and then to Pullman for a match with Washington State at 1 p.m. on Oct. 28.

The Ducks close out the regular season with the annual Civil War with Oregon State on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Eugene.

"I think that with our returning group of 21 players, plus the addition of seven signees, we will have the experience to compete with anyone," added Erickson.  "We also have a tremendous group of seven seniors who have amassed a ton of experience in their time here.  Every one of these 20 games is significant for us as we look towards competing for a Pac-12 Championship."

Included in those 21 returners are all-Pac 12 performers Bri Pugh and Scout Libke, who both had four goals last season. Oregon finished the 2011 season with an 8-9-3 record.
