Cambier Picks Up Postseason Pac-12 Honor

EUGENE, Ore. - University of Oregon men's tennis sophomore Robin Cambier was named Pac-12 Honorable Mention on Friday (May 11), as announced by Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott. 

Cambier's impressive sophomore campaign included earning UO's only Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for the week of March 5-11.  The Brussels, Belgium-native tallied a 24-8 singles record, tying him for the second best singles year in school history.  Of his 24 singles wins, 18 came during the spring dual play, a team high.  Cambier also was a part of the most successful doubles season in school history, recording 29 wins to just 4 losses. 

Also announced by the Pac-12 Friday afternoon were first and second teams along with player of the year, doubles team of the year, coach of the year and newcomer of the year awards.  Highlighting the list is USC senior Steve Johnson who's 20-0 spring singles record extended his NCAA record for consecutive singles victories to 60, earning him the Pac-12 Player of the Year accolade.
