Freshman Season Match-by-Match Stats Freshman Season Match-by-Match Stats

Confirmed her explosive athletic prep potential as the team's top middle blocker as a freshman in the fall of 2012, and helped team to NCAA and Pac-12 runner-up finishes (and school record for wins (30)). After competing among +300 collegians in the USA Volleyball National Team tryout in February 2013, accepted a bid to play on the Junior National Team for the 2013 FIVB Women's Junior World Championship in the Czech Republic (June 21-30). In the fall of 2012, was the lone freshman to consistently start for the senior-heavy Duck squad, and had many of her best efforts against the nation's top teams in the postseason.

2012: Started 28 of the team's 35 matches at middle blocker (and played 34), and paced the team in blocks per set average (0.77 p/s) for the season. The team leader in blocks in 11 matches, she logged a team-season high six blocks in the four-set NCAA semifinal win over No.1 Penn State, and three-set win at Portland State. She also had five blocks in sweeps of No. 13 Dayton, Western Carolina and Arizona State, and four-set win at California. Season-wise, she logged four .500 hitting marks in sweeps vs. No. 13 Dayton (.636, 7 kills), Western Carolina (.500, 9 kills) and Washington State (.500, 7 kills) and four-setter at WSU (.625, 6 kills). She added +.400 totals in the NCAA finale vs. No. 3 Texas (.429, 5 kills), NCAA semifinal vs. No. 1 Penn State (.417, 6 kills) and NCAA First Round against Northern Colorado (.444, 6 kills), and same-weekend sweeps at Colorado (.455, 5K) and Utah (.462, 8K). Among her 12 +.300 totals overall on the season, others came in a five-setter vs. Arizona State (.357, 7 kills) and three-set win at Oregon State (.375). Her per set average for kills (1.09) and hitting (.226) led Duck newcomers, and she ranked fifth overall for UO in each category (and second among underclassmen). Season Highs: Hitting: .500 ( 9- 1-16), (3s) vs. Houston (8/25/12); (4-2-7) (4s) vs. #2 Washington (1/13/12); Kills: 9 (9K-3E-12A), (3s) vs. Western Carolina (8/31/12); Points: 10 (7K- 1 SA- 4 BA) 3s, vs. #13 Dayton (12/12); Blocks: 6 (1BS- 5BA), at PSU (9/12/12); (6BA), vs. #1 Penn State (12/13/12).

PREP: The 2011 Colorado Gatorade State Player of the Year candidate was a first-team all-conference pick as a senior and second-team choice as a junior. A three-year volleyball letterwinner, she also has competed in track and field in the 200m, 400m and high jump. On the club circuit, she has played the last two seasons for former two-time NCAA Coach of the Year Terry Pettit, and the U16 All-Rocky Mountain Region first-team choice helped her team place ninth in the AAU U16 Open among its many tourney highlights.

PERSONAL: Intended Anthropology major. Parents are Jim Finley and Sara Rathburn. Has one younger brother, Sawyer.
