Pac-12 Conference Preseason Poll Announced
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Oregon Ducks women's soccer team was selected to finish tenth in the Pac-12 Conference pre-season women's soccer coaches poll announced on Monday.
The Ducks, who return 17 letterwinners and ten starters, received 36 total points, putting them ahead of the University of Colorado and the University of Arizona.
Defending NCAA champion Stanford was chosen to finish first in the conference once again with a total of 120 points and ten of the 12 possible first-place votes. UCLA received the remaining two first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.
Oregon opens the season with a home game against the University of Alabama-Birmingham on Sunday, Aug. 19th at the new Pape' Field before traveling to Portland and Portland State on Aug. 24th and 26th, respectively.
