EUGENE - This Saturday night, University of Oregon volleyball fans will get their second chance in as many weekends to see one of the Ducks' most heralded freshman classes.

UO's six newcomers and the rest of the No. 20-ranked team will face an alumni squad for a free match that starts at 7 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena.

Fans also have a special opportunity for free parking starting at 5:30 p.m. in the garage accessible via Columbia Street.

A host of special promotions and prize packages will also be on tap, including a contest to identify famous alumni.

After the best-of-five-set affair, Duck faithful will get their first chance of the season for autographs from players and coaches.

One of Oregon's deepest-ever rosters features's 14th-best recruiting class nationally.

The group includes Italian product and middle blocker Clelia DeFelice, prep All-America outside hitter Martenne Bettendorf, Senior Ace middle blocker Canace Finley, Senior Ace 150 outside hitter Madison Magee and All-CIF libero Tatum Norton.

Oregon also features one transfer - senior outside hitter Bethany (Wray) Bair - a two-time All-Big Sky honorable mention for Weber State in 2010 and '11.

Last Saturday, Oregon wrapped up its first week of practice with its Green and White Exhibition, and notable newcomer stats follow: Maddie Magee (13 kills, .240), Martenne Bettendorf (6 kills, 14 digs, 1 aces), Bethany Bair (8 kills), Tatum Norton (10 digs).

Also on Saturday, fans can buy season tickets at the Matthew Knight Arena on the north side of the facility that faces Franklin Street.

Afterward, fans can also buy season tickets in person at the match or visit the Duck ticket office or call (1-800-WEB-FOOT) during normal weekday business hours.

In upcoming weeks, Oregon opens its regular season on the road at a pair of tournaments in Columbus, Ohio (Aug. 24-25) and Athens, Ohio (Aug. 31-Sept. 2) that feature No. 24 Ohio State and No. 13 Kentucky, respectively.

Next month, the Ducks kick off their 12-match home schedule with a pair of non-conference tilts vs. UC Santa Barbara (Wed., September 5) and St. Mary's (Mon., Sept. 10). Both teams sported top-55 RPI national ratings and impressive records last year - UC Santa Barbara (#53, 19-12) and St. Mary's (#55, 17-12).

The remainder of UO's home schedule - all league contests - includes last year's national champion (UCLA), two more NCAA second-round qualifiers (Stanford, Washington), and two other postseason first-round advancers (Arizona, California).
