EUGENE, Ore. - Four University of Oregon women's lacrosse players were among the 173 student-athletes named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches 2012 Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically.

Making the list for Oregon were junior goalkeeper Caroline Federighi, graduated midfielder Lara Bennett, junior Shannon Propst and redshirt senior midfielder Dominique Christiansen.

Federighi enjoyed a historic season for the Ducks in goal last year as she set the all-time school record for single-season goals against average with 9.5. She also ranks first in career individual goals against average with 9.43.

Bennett, who graduated in the spring with a degree in Human Physiology, was named to the all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation second team for her efforts this past season as well as the MPSF All-Academic list, showing her prowess both on and off the field.

A communications disorders and sciences major, junior Shannon Propst was also a second-team all-MPSF performer and also found herself on the MPSF all-academic list. Her 34 goals this past season were second best on the team and she was also second in assists on the season with 19.

Dominique Christiansen, a business major, had a total of 11 points during the 2012 season. Christiansen comes back to UO for a fifth year and looks to continue her success on and off the field. She was also named to the MPSF all-academic list.
