Each week O Heroes sits down with one of our student-athletes to get to know more about them on and off the field.
This week's feature is on San Diego native Ashley Inman, a 5-2 senior midfielder on the Oregon Women’s Lacrosse team.
Ashley is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and double minoring in Computer Science/Technology and Business Administration. Despite her demanding schedule juggling academics and athletics, Ashley has created a lasting impression within the Eugene-Springfield community through her work with O Heroes.
While many know Ashley for her skills on the field, she also shines within the O Heroes program. She visits the Boys & Girls Club of Emerald Valley weekly, participating in afternoon activities (her favorite is dodgeball) and assisting the kids with their homework.
In addition, she participated in a number of O Heroes events in the 2011-2012 school year including: Duckling Days, O-lympics, Dance Marathon, A Step In The Right Direction and house painting for Habitat for Humanity.
Teammates and friends can always find Ashley supporting her Ducks at various other UO varsity sporting events. A dedicated Duck, she excels in academics, athletics and is a positive role model in the community.
After her collegiate career, she hopes to get a job within the computer science or medical field, while continuing to work with the Boys & Girls Club and volunteer coaching for young kids.
