Walker's Pace: Women Hold at No. 3

Tuesday, October 30, 2012

Following their first league title since 1995, the Women of Oregon remained at No. 3 in the latest USTFCCCA poll.

The Ducks nearly caught second-ranked Iowa State, falling just two points shy of the Cyclones. Florida State held on to No. 1.

The Pac-12 meet left Arizona following the Ducks at No. 4, Stanford fifth and Washington seventh. UCLA was No. 29 and San Francisco No. 26 as Oregon will see all of those teams at the Nov. 9 NCAA West Regional in Seattle.

The men's team slipped three spots to No. 11 in the men's poll despite a strong third-place finish at the conference meet.

Oklahoma State held the top spot, followed by Pac-12 champion Colorado and Pac-12 runner-up Stanford. Other West Region teams in the poll included No. 9 Portland, No. 25 Arizona State and No. 27 UCLA.
