Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman
On tonight’s game…
“Well, it’s really good to have E.J. (Singler) back. You can see the difference with experienced guys. We moved the ball well for the most part, but as a team we are making fundamental mistakes. We need to clean up to beat good teams, but anytime you throw that many new guys out there, it’s going to happen.”

On the dynamic of having multiple new players…
“Roles won’t be defined for a long time. We are a long way from deeciding which guy is going to have which role. I don’t think roles will be defined until the end of December.”

On Dominic Artis
“He has a knack for scoring and he is making plays. He’s got a really good feel for the game. I think he’s got a temendous upside.”

On E.J.’s return…
“We were going to limit him to 20 minutes tonight and he got 18. EJ’s got a lot of experience in our system. Mentally he’s been engaged, it’s just a matter of getting him back in shape and ready to go.”

On Oregon’s 16 steals…
“I want to keep our guys aggressive. Our quickness is pretty good. We keep stressing risk and reward. We want the guys to take some risks but we can’t sell out. We need to find a good balance.”

Senior forward E.J. Singler
On how he feels physically…
“I felt pretty good. I’ve been battling with a little bit of tendonitis, but the pain wasn’t there which is good. It’s going to take a little bit of time, but overall I felt really good. I can do pretty much everything full speed now.”

On improving…
“There is a lot of improvement we can do as a collective unit. We’ve got a lot of learning to do. We have got to watch the film, learn from the film. There’s definietly a lot of plays I can make defensively. Defensively I didn’t do that well of a job, that’s kind of due to the explosiveness and timing of it. I’ll get back in the groove. Our team will get back in the groove. It’ll just take a little bit of time.”

On his role as a leader…
“It has been a tough job sinceI’ve been out. It’s been hard  to connect with the players if you’re not on the court with them at the same time. But I’ve been trying my best. This last week I’ve been on the court with the guys which I think has been helping a lot."

Senior center Tony Woods
On his goal for the game…
“I was just looking to get the ball inside.”

On his goal for the season…
“It’s a new day and my offense has come a long way. So I’m feeling good about this year and helping E.J. offensively and help Carlos pick it up as well."
