As disappointing as last week’s defeat at Stanford was to Ducks fans everywhere, remaining is another game of huge importance for 10-1 Oregon – the 116th Civil War. The annual clash against Oregon State is always a big game from a rivalry standpoint, but the scope of how big this particular edition is won’t really be known until the dust settles across the college football landscape later Saturday night. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves and focus in on Corvallis at noon. We know to expect a spirited battle between longstanding Pac-12 North rivals, but what of the playing conditions? For that, we turn to our trusty weather guy, AMS Vice President Bobby Corser, who checks in with his Duck Cast:
"It's that time of year when the state of Oregon is truly divided down the middle, you're either a Duck or a Beaver. The Ducks will make the short drive to Corvallis Saturday morning and Oregon State will be waiting. With different post season activities on the line for both teams, it appears that the weather will be a factor. Rain will be the call for most of Saturday morning. It will begin to taper off as kickoff nears at Noon. Showers will be the call during the game and temperatures will be in the lower 50s. It will be chilly. A light wind will help keep the chill in the air. If you are heading to Reser Stadium, make sure to wear Green, dress warmly and cheer on the boys to a win. Go Ducks!"
