Women's Golf Finishes Second Day at Anuenue Invitational

KAPALUA, Hawai’i—The No. 39 University of Oregon women’s golf team completed the second day of competition at the Anuenue Spring Break Invitational Tuesday in Kapalua, Hawai’i. The three-day, three-round event wraps up Wednesday with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m.

The Ducks shot a 13-over 301 on the first day of action to end in a tie for ninth place and were led by sophomore Cassy Isagawa who shot a 1-over 73.

As a team, UO shot a 7-over 295 for a two-round total of 20-over 596, moving them up to eighth place overall. The Washington Huskies moved into first place past Pepperdine after shooting a 2-under 286 on day two. UCLA (5-under 283) and Pepperdine (6-over 296) round out the top three after the first two rounds.

Isagawa led the way for Oregon once again as she matched her first round performance, shooting a 1-over 73 to move into a tie for 17th place overall. Freshman Caroline Inglis improved from 51st place to 36th after shooting a 1-over 73, and sophomore Monica Petchakan shot a 4-over 76 to come in a tie for 46th place. Senior Avery Sills moved up to a tie for 62nd overall after shooting a 1-over 73, while sophomore Cali Hipp dropped to a tie for 72nd place as she shot a 10-over 82 on day two.

Denver’s Tonje Daffinrud leads the field after shooting a 7-under 65 on day two to bring her overall score to 7-under 137. Pepperdine’s Grace Na trails her by one stroke at 6-under 138.
