University of Oregon head women's lacrosse coach Jen Larsen has tabbed former four-year letterwinner Casey Rector to perform the role of student assistant coach for the upcoming 2010 lacrosse season.

Rector will assist Larsen and her staff as they embark on the program's sixth year in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF).

"We are very excited to have Casey remain a part of the program," Larsen said. "She will be an asset in helping our newcomers adjust to the rigors of Division I lacrosse and will be able to show them what it means to be a Duck."

Rector played 73 games during her UO playing career, scoring 33 goals and tallying 48 points. She is currently working toward her degree in human physiology and is on schedule to graduate in June.

Rector takes the place of Jana Bradley, who performed a similar role on staff last season.

2009: One of two Ducks selected to the MPSF all-tournament team...Earned four starts among her 17's ninth-leading scorer with 13 points on eight goals and five assists...scored six of her eight goals over the final seven games of her career...ranked fifth on the squad with 22 draw controls...season-high two goals vs. Fresno State on April 23 in the MPSF tourney.

2008: An impact player off the bench, appeared in all 20 games...finished the year with 14 goals and four assists...was second on the team with a .519 shooting percentage...won 21 draw controls with seven ground balls and three caused turnovers....scored a season-high three goals and added one assist vs. LeMoyne on March 1.

2007: Saw increased playing time in her second campaign...played in all 19 contests, making eight starts...scored nine goals and added six assists...collected 19 ground balls and won 23 draw controls..also caused 10 turnovers...also received the program’s Pillar award, the team’s spirit award - voted on by her teammates.

Appeared in 17 games for Oregon as an attacker...picked up 16 ground balls...controlled 16 draws and caused three turnovers...picked up two points for the Ducks with two goals.

Earned letters in both soccer and lacrosse in high school, including three in lacrosse...helped lead her team to a championship in 2005...named All-American and Player of the Year...honor roll member.

PERSONAL: Born Casey J. Rector on January 28, 1987, in Carlsbad, Calif...has one brother.
