After joining the department as assistant athletic director for player development in April 2013, Horace Raymond brings with him nine years experience working similar roles at Arizona State University.
Since 2008, Raymond was the Sun Devil’s football director of player initiatives, focusing on player success off the field through various roles including managing player community service programs, serving as a liaison between several ASU affiliates, coordinating different transition programs for football prospects, student-athletes and post-graduates, and assisting with all team functions. From 2006-2008, he was the coordinator of student-athlete development and during the 2005 season, Raymond was an assistant for football operations, for the Tempe institution.
A three-year football letterman, the running back graduated from Tulane University in 1998, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Management/Business Studies. Raymond graduated on Dean’s List and a member of the Student-Athlete 3.0+ Club. He later earned his MBA degree from the University of Phoenix, where he worked various academic roles over a three-year period.
Raymond and his wife Ashly have three kids, Kyan, Marlee and Sloan.
