LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Junior guard Joseph Young was among the 25 players named to the Wooden Award Midseason top 25 Wednesday. The Houston, Texas, native leads the Ducks in scoring at 18.0 points per game.
He is fifth in the Pac-12 in scoring, third in three-pointers per game (2.1) sixth in free throw percentage (.859) and 11th in three-point field goal percentage (.417).
Earlier this season, he broke the Matthew Knight Arena scoring record with 36 points against Western Carolina and he has scored in double figures in 14 of 17 games.
In his career, including two seasons at Houston, Young has scored 1,222 points with an average of 15.4 per game. He is also a 40.5 percent shooter from three-point range, hitting 156 of 385 attempts.
