BEFORE OREGON -- Has made rapid progress in refining his skills despite playing the game on an organized level for only three years . . . The Arizona Division I first-team all-state selection (Arizona Football Coaches Association) and Top-25 all-Arizona pick (AFCA) was included among Scout.com’s list of 100 best standouts in the West . . . Posted 12 tackles for loss and 10 quarterback sacks (67 yards) among his 72 tackles (53 unassisted) in nine games his senior season, as well as forced three fumbles and blocked one field goal . . . Enjoyed consecutive weeks with 13 tackles (vs. Boulder Creek), 13 tackles (vs. Mountain View) and 12 stops (against Cienega), with 30 of the 38 takedowns coming unassisted . . . Also recorded four TFLs in the season opener vs. Mission Hills for the Thunder, who ended the year with a 4-6 record . . .
