One of three upperclassman returnees at outside hitter for Ducks in 2011, and the squad's lone left-handed threat. As a sophomore saw 2 1/2 more action compared to her freshman campaign (30 sets / 12 sets) and nearly triped her kill total as a result. One of four Duck upperclass returnees that have all received All-Pac-10 All-Academic recognition.

Made two starts and played 30 sets among her 18 matches, including 14 of the team’s 18 Pac-10 tilts. Logged kills in 10 contests, including multiple kills in six matches. Posted season-high three kills against American (1.000), Siena (.429), No. 3 California (.333) and Oregon State (.500). Added single digs in five matches and a block against UC Riverside and assist vs. American. Was one of six Ducks that received Pac-10 All-Academic nods and was a second-team honoree.

With Oregon’s hitting depth, the right side hitter was utilized primarily to jumpstart the offense off the bench, partly since she returned from an ACL knee injury the spring of her prep senior season. Played in 11 matches and 12 sets, including four sets and four matches in Pac-10 play, and another set in the postseason. Capped season with kill in only attempt in sweep of Clemson in NCAA Tournament opener. Saw action in conference play vs. three NCAA qualifiers – No. 3 Washington, No. 15 and No. 18  USC and at No. 22 Arizona. In mid-September, played in two sets in 3-1 win at Utah. In matches prior, logged kills in two matches in opening weeks in 3-0 wins over Seattle (4-4, 1.00) and Eastern Washington (2-2, 1.000). Came up with single digs twice vs. Seattle and No. 3 Washington. Posted her first career block assist vs. Seattle en route to a season-high 4.5 points.

Prep: A first-team all-league player, was tabbed the Century League MVP, Century Female Athlete of the Year and team MVP. Among other high school highlights, she racked up 33 kills as a senior in a match against Canyon High School, and was tabbed to the All-County Third Team. Previously honored with the team’s most improved award, and lettered four seasons at the opposite side position. High School (Coach): El Modena '09, Orange, Calif. (Beth Cinderey). On the club scene, played for the Impact squad based in Yorba Linda, Calif., and was coached by Kevin Boyke. Lettered at center four basketball seasons and was a team MVP and a first-team all-league and third-team all-county honoree.

Personal: Psychology major. Parents are Patrick and Karen Gross, and has two sisters, Jennifer and Kelly.
