Welcome to the Office of Student-Athlete Development! We are gearing up for the 2012-13 school year and are excited to see another year of accomplishments on the playing field, in the classroom, and in the community. The goal of our office is to provide programs and support for student-athletes to ensure the optimal experience of all student-athletes at the University of Oregon on and off the field of competition. We value their contributions to the University and the community and appreciate the hard work and time they have put in to both their academic and athletic endeavors. Our department focuses on the total development of our student-athletes and recognizes their changing needs. Programming is designed to promote a respect for diversity and inclusion, to assist student-athletes in identifying and applying transferable skills, to encourage student-athletes to effectively access campus resources and to develop character, integrity, and leadership skills. In fulfilling that charge, by the time they are finishing their college careers, student-athletes can feel adequately prepared to go confidently into the work world having gained invaluable experiences through the unique privilige of being a collegiate athlete at one of the premeire institutions of the Pacific Northwest. With that, we'd like to invite you to have a look around for new articles, student resources, information on nutrition, ways to get involved in the community as a student-athlete including through the non-profit organization run exclusively by athletes at the University of Oregon, O Heroes, and much more.
