Coach Bellotti will be on The Jim Rome Show Wednesday morning at the start of the 10 o'clock hour (PDT). The station closest to Eugene that carries Rome is KEJO-AM in Corvallis, but if you can't dial that in and are at a computer you can listen online. Rome also podcasts and archives his shows at www.jimrome.com.
The Ducks had a good streak of "Karma" going last year until Dennis Dixon's initial ACL injury vs. Arizona State, which happened before the O-Line made their epic appearance in The Jungle. This is an early call from the Rome folks (Week 2), so I'd say Oregon is already on the minds of college football fans in the know.
Practice was long and productive today with quarterbacks Jeremiah Masoli and Chris Harper getting plenty of reps. Justin Roper was out again, but will undergo an impact test tomorrow morning and could return in the afternoon if cleared. Roper joked with reporters about the fact that he had an excuse for the interception he threw, basically explaining how he could barely remember the snap count, let alone pick up a blitz.
Despite suggestions that Roper should rest up to be ready for Purdue, both the QB and his coach stressed that he needs as much game action as possible to continue progressing in the Oregon offense.
As I put a bow on the day and head out to an important meeting in the vicinity of 13th and Patterson, I leave you with some shots from the opener from the lens of photographer Eric Evans.

J.J. was more than a bit fired up to make his return to the Autzen sidelines.
The noise level during pregame introductions was deafening to say the least.

Touchdown run No. 1 of 2008.

Eddie Pleasant prior to his Oregon debut.
Ready to rumble.
