Uniform Unveiling - Oregon Style
Thursday, Nov. 6
It’s shaping up to be another busy week for the Oregon baseball team.
Yesterday the team unveiled its uniforms for the 2009 season along with Nike.
Madison Boer, Danny Pulfer, Colby Sokol, Casey Serna, Scott McGough and Mitch Karraker show off their new threads.
It was a packed house in the Stadium Club for the unveiling, and pitchers Scott McGough and Madison Boer shared their thoughts on their new threads.
“They’ve let us know what was going on with the uniforms throughout the process,” Scott said wearing the gray pinstripes designated for away games. “It feels good that the administration let us be a part of the design.”
An up close look at the pinstripes reveals they are made up with the lyrics to the Oregon fight song.
“It’s unreal that we had a press conference to unveil our uniforms, but after seeing them I understand why,” Madison explained. “You can really feel the difference with the lightweight material. It makes me feel lighter and faster...I get so much confidence when I put this uniform on.”
The jerseys and plenty of Oregon baseball gear are now on sale at retailers, including The Duck Store and Nike stores if you’re trying to get an early jump on your holiday shopping.
If you don’t get a chance to stop by the Duck Store to check out the new threads you’ll have another opportunity at Saturday’s football game. Beginning at 10 a.m., the team will be in the Moshofsky Center for a meet-and-great with fans. The players will be on hand to play games with the youngsters and also sign autographs.
In addition the team is going to be introduced to the Autzen crowd during the game.
