When TMZ is there I guess you've arrived as a big deal, right!?  Well, there they were with the Ducks at Lawry's last night, looking for some sort of dirt, I guess.

Knowing exactly what qualifies as "media" these days is increasingly more complicated, and certainly the Rose Bowl has brought all of these folks together.  TMZ to the Oregonian political columnist, local TV station to the Facebook updater... it really runs the gamut.
The media crush on the Ducks has been intense and immense as each individual looks for a unique story line.  Nearly 100 people surrounded Jeremiah Masoli at his press conference today.  What do they all want to know?
Ironically they are asking questions they think you want to know... the only problem is that thanks to the Internet, and sites like goducks.com... you already know!  That's what is so great about this medium.  You get the information you want whenever you want it.
The old media is good at creating cohesive story lines too; for this game the general line is that actually winning the game is critical for Oregon. That it would validate their season.   I disagree.
Look, I want to win as much as you do, however winning the PAC 10 by two full games, which hadn't been done since 1991, is statement enough.  This was the most amazing, dramatic Oregon season of my lifetime...each moment will be cherished for that moment, unchanged by the result of the Rose Bowl.

If you have specific questions you'd like me to track down, shoot me an email at jgiansan@uoregon.edu.  Also, don't miss Go Ducks LIVE with Jerry Allen tomorrow morning live from Disneyland! (watch/listen on www.goducks.tv 8-10am PT) Until then… Go Ducks!
