From The Dugout: PK Park On Time, Looking Fine
GoDucks.com took a step outside the dugout on Thursday for a tour of ongoing construction at PK Park.
Thursday was a significant day at the site as the highest part of the facility – a beam on the roof – was installed.
Over 100 people connected to the project gathered at PK Park for the “Topping Out” party and signed the beam before it was put into place.
PK Park’s completion date is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2010, and according to Construction Manager Steve Stearns, the project is on schedule and about 70 percent complete.

Some interesting facts about PK Park:
- Capacity for the facility is approximately 3,750 with 2,600 chair-back seats in the bowl and just over 500 student seats available in the left field line bleacher. There will also be seating in Foul Territory as well as standing room only.
- In addition to a 500-plus bleacher for student seating, there will also be an open area with a turf floor for students to gather during games. Rumor is there might even be a DJ making a few appearances throughout the year.
