EUGENE, Ore. – The Paul Westhead era continues to prove prosperous for Oregon as the Ducks remained undefeated with a 117-69 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Friday night at the World Vision Invitational held at McArthur Court.

The Ducks’ 117 points marked the second highest scoring game of program history, trailing only a 121-40 win over Hawai’i on Jan. 16, 1979.

Oregon had seven players in double figures led by Taylor Lilley’s game-high 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including six buckets from long distance.

Sophomore forward Amanda Johnson posted her third straight double-double with a game and career-high 16 rebounds, while adding 13 points.

Junior Nicole Canepa came off the bench to score 17, while Jasmin Holliday was just one rebound short of a double-double with 10 points and a career-high tying nine rebounds.

Senior guard Micaela Cocks chipped in 10 points, as did sophomore guard Nia Jackson, who also led the Ducks with a game and career-high five assists. Senior Lindsey Saffold also put 10 points on the scoreboard.

The Ducks shot their highest percentage .494 (43-of-87) from the floor this year, and held Cal State Fullerton to 24.7 percent (20-of-81).

Oregon outrebounded the Titans 58-49, and forced CSF to turn the ball over on 19 occasions.

The Ducks turned the ball over a season-low 12 times, and dished out 28 assists, just four short of the all-time record.

Cal State Fullerton was led by Lyndsey Grove’s 20-point performance while Megan Richardson chipped in 11.

Oregon shot a blistering 52.5 percent (21-of-40) in the first half, led by Lilley’s 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting, 5-of-6 from beyond the three-point line.

Cocks added 10 first-half points, while Johnson had 12 rebounds by the break.

Oregon will host Wisconsin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday with the game aired by the Oregon Sports Network on Comcast SportsNet Northwest.

The first game of the day will feature Portland State and Cal State Fullerton, tipping off at 2 p.m.

Notes:  The last time Oregon won four consecutive games was from Nov. 25 – Dec. 14, 2006 – a five game winning streak…the last time Oregon started the season 4-0 was during the 2004-05 season, when the Ducks started 7-0 and advanced to what is now their last NCAA Tournament appearance…Oregon last scored 80-plus points in four straight games from Feb. 16-Mar. 1, 2002, but the Ducks suffered a loss in that four-game stretch. The last time Oregon scored 80-plus points in four consecutive victories was from Dec. 12, 1992-Jan. 2, 1993…Micaela Cocks has now knocked down a three-pointer in her last 20 games dating back to last season…Nicole Canepa and Micaela Cocks have each reached double figures in four consecutive games.

Wisconsin 75, Portland State 51

Wisconsin defeated Portland State by the score of 75-51 in the World Vision Invitational opener on Friday night at McArthur Court.

The Badgers (4-1) were led by Anya Covington’s double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Alyssa Karel chipped in 11 and Rae Lin D’Alie added 10.

Portland State (2-3) was led by Kelli Valentine’s nine points, while Claire Faucher scored eight and dished a game-high seven assists.
