Fastbreak: Ducks Work with Young Reporters
Feb. 5, 2010
The Oregon men's basketball team held its weekly media availability this past Thursday, handling questions from the usual outlets and taking on some newcomers. Most of the hard-hitting questions came from a group of fourth and fifth grade students from Camas Ridge Community School in Eugene.
The reporters, ages 10 and 11, were conducting the interviews for a television show called Something to Talk About, which is produced by the Camas Ridge students with help from teacher Chris Evans. The student-reporters interviewed several Ducks, a list that included Tajuan Porter, Michael Dunigan, Matt Humphrey, Garrett Sim, Drew Wiley, E.J. Singler and Jeremy Jacob.
These interviews will run over the next 10 weeks on KEVU-TV, with the show airing locally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
It was great to see the players working with the young reporters, smiling and having fun. Click here to view the photo album from the interview session. Below is a sample pic.
