EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon men's tennis team, in the midst of a 10-match home-stand this month, will play host to Eastern Washington, Gonzaga and Saint Mary's this weekend.
The Ducks (5-1) will battle the Eagles in a matinee on Friday at 1 p.m. inside the Student Tennis Center behind McArthur Court. Oregon will then have a double-header on Saturday with the Gaels (10 a.m.) and Zags (5:30 p.m.).
Oregon did not play any of the three teams last season but the Ducks defeated Eastern Washington 6-1 in 2008 and 5-2 in 2007 and beat Gonzaga 7-0 in both 2007 and 2006.
Oregon has been led int he early part of the duals season by senior Alexander Cornelissen and freshman Aaron Clissold, who both hold 5-1 singles records. In doubles play, Jose' Izquierdo and Clissold are 5-0 as is the tandem of Ric Mortera and freshman Nico Bjerke.
The Ducks have not lost the doubles point in six matches this season. In their only loss on the year to No. 22 Boise State, the Ducks took two of three doubles matches.
Admission to all Oregon men's and women's tennis matches is free.
