EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon lacrosse team matched it's program record for goals in a single game for the second straight contest in a 22-8 victory over St. Bonaventure on Sunday morning at Pape' Field. Oregon improves to 2-0 on the season and 3-0 all-time against the Bonnies. SBU falls to 1-0.
"It was a good victory," said head coach Jen Larsen. "It's good to be back at Pape' and I liked that we were able to get everyone on the field to be a part of that victory."
The Ducks defeated Jacksonville 22-6 in the season opener last weekend in Florida.
Alex Breiner led all scorers with four goals and a pair of assists as the Ducks offense rolled up the goals once again. Freshman Ashley Inman scored the first two goals of her career late in the second half and the team as a whole tallied six goals in the last four minutes.
Freshman Salliebeth Finnegan earned the start in goal and played the entire first half and spot minutes in the second half. Redshirt junior Hannah Jones started in the net the Ducks' first game.
