WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Oregon fourth-year seniors Micaela Cocks and Taylor Lilley were named to the Pacific-10 All-Conference team, it was announced by the league office today.

Prior to years past, where first, second and third teams have been selected by the conference’s 10 coaches, this season there is one all-conference team made up of 15 student-athletes.

For Lilley this is the fourth consecutive season she has received Pac-10 honors after being named Pac-10 All-Freshman honorable mention in 2007, Pac-10 Third Team in 2008 and Pac-10 honorable mention in 2009.

Lilley, who was also recently voted the 2009-10 season Team MVP by her teammates, is averaging 17.5 points per game to lead the Ducks. The senior has crushed every 3-point record in Oregon history, and holds the single-game, single-season and all-time 3-point titles at Oregon.

She has also scored 1,338 points in her career, ranking 10th all-time in UO history, and her 254 career 3-pointers are not only a new UO record, but rank fourth all-time in Pac-10 history. The Newhall, Calif., native was able to get the 254 mark by knocking 108 3-pointers this season, setting new single-season records at Oregon as well as the Pac-10. Lilley needs just three more 3-pointers this season to tie for 10th all-time in NCAA single-season history.

One of Oregon’s most prolific shooters, Lilley is having the best season of her career under first-year head coach Paul Westhead. The sharp-shooter’s 17.5 points per game rank third in the Pac-10, and her 3.7 3-pointers per game not only lead the conference but rank third in the nation.

Lilley will not only leave her mark in the point total and 3-point categories at the UO, as the three-year starter’s 153 career steals rank ninth all-time. Her 67 double-figure scoring games tie with Andrea Bills for ninth all-time at the UO.

This season, Lilley has recorded double figures in 26 of her 30 starts, reaching the 20-point threshold 10 times, and the 30-point mark on two occasions. She has also led the Ducks in scoring 12 times this year.

Lilley was named to the all-conference team along with Cocks, her teammate in the backcourt at Oregon for the past four seasons.
Cocks’ all-conference selection was the New Zealand native’s second conference honor of her career after she was selected to the Pac-10 Third Team following the 2008-09 season.

Voted as this season’s Offensive MVP by her teammates, Cocks is capable of playing all three guard positions in Westhead’s uptempo offense.

The 2008 Olympian is averaging a career best 14.9 points per game , while shooting 41.5 percent from the floor and getting to 3.3 rebounds per game.

Cocks began to emerge last season as injuries took their tool on the squad, and the then-junior guard was asked to carry more of the burden. One year later in the fastbreak system with Nia Jackson and Lilley back healthy, Cocks has really flourished.

Known as being one of the most - if not the most - fit player on the team, Cocks has appeared in 121 career games for the Ducks, ranking fourth all-time. She will also leave Oregon as the program’s most consistent free-throw shooter from the line with a career .861 (211-245) percentage.

This year, Cocks has scored double figures in 25 of her 30 starts, and has reached the 20-point plateau on seven occasions, while also leading the team in scoring on seven occasions. Cocks has also been a perfect 8-of-8 in 3-point play conversions this year.

In addition to Cocks and Lilley, Oregon sophomore forward Amanda Johnson received Pac-10 honorable mention accolades. The Santa Rosa, Calif., native is Oregon’s third leading scorer averaging 12.4 points per game, while leading the squad with 8.5 rebounds per game.

The 6-foot-2 sophomore has produced nine double-doubles on the year, and has led the team in rebounding on 20 occasions.
Johnson was recently named to the 2009-10 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® University Division second team.

This is the second consecutive year Johnson has earned Pac-10 accolades after earning a Pac-10 All-Freshman honorable mention nod following her rookie season in 2009.

This is the first time since 2003 that three Oregon players received Pac-10 honors.

Joining Cocks and Lilley on the All-Pac-10 team were Jayne Appel (Stanford), Doreena Campbell (UCLA), Ashley Corral (USC), Jasmine Dixon (UCLA), Briana Gilbreath (USC), Alexis Gray-Lawson (California), Ify Ibekwe (Arizona), Nnemkadi Ogwumike (Stanford), Kayla Pedersen (Stanford), Jeanette Pohlen (Stanford), Danielle Orsillo (Arizona State), Sami Whitcomb (Washington) and Davellyn Whyte (Arizona).

April Cook (Washington State), Rosalyn Gold-Onwude (Stanford), Talisea Rhea (Oregon State), DeNesha Stalllworth (California), Becca Tobin (Arizona State) and Markel Walker (UCLA) were named honorable mention along with Johnson.

The Pac-10 All-Defensive team was made up of Gilbreath, Gold-Onwude, Gray-Laswson, Ibekwe and Eliza Pierre from California.

The Pac-10 All-Rookie squad consisted of Kiki Moore (Washington State), Haiden Palmer (Oregon State), Stallworth, Walker and Whyte.

The Pac-10 Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year awards are expected to be announced tomorrow.

In addition to Pac-10 All-Conference awards voted on by the league’ s 10 head coaches, the Pac-10 also had members of the media vote for awards this season that were announced on Wednesday.

Lilley was named to the 2010 Pac-10 Media All-Conference team.

The media voted Stanford sophomore forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike the Player of the Year, while Arizona’s Davellyn Whyte was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year. Arizona junior forward Ify Ibekwe was named the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year, and

Nikki Caldwell of UCLA was named the Pac-10 Head Coach of the Year by the media.
The Ducks are the No. 6 seed in the upcoming Pac-10 Tournament, and will play third-seeded USC at 5 p.m., Friday at the Galen Center in the quarterfinals.
