The No. 65 ranked Oregon men's tennis team (11-3) will put their new national ranking on the line this weekend against No. 36 Nebraska (8-3) in a neutral-site match on Friday in Provo, Utah.
The Ducks are coming off a 5-2 win over UT-San Antonio down in Texas last weekend. Oregon was supposed to play UAB as well, but the match was rained out.
Oregon has been paced by No. 83 Alex Cornelissen who has a 12-2 record at No. 1 and No. 2 singles combined this season. Ric Mortera (8-5) has also played well for the Ducks this season in addition to freshman Aaron Clissold (11-3).
Nebraska is led by Christopher Aumueller who has an 8-2 record at No. 1 singles this season, in addition to Calin Paar's 9-1 record and Francois Van Impe's 10-1 mark.
Oregon will be back home to play USC and UCLA on March 26 and 27 in the Ducks' final home matches of the season. The UCLA match at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 will be senior day as Cornelissen, Mortera and Marcos Verdasco will play their final home match.
