EUGENE – With weather forecasts predicting thunderstorms, the No. 17 University of Oregon softball team (31-10, 7-4) moved its final non-conference doubleheader with Portland State (20-24, 10-2) back a week.
The rescheduled game is now set for Wednesday, May 5 for a 4 p.m. start, the same time as before.

The Vikings are again leading the Pacific Coast Softball Conference and were an NCAA Tournament qualifier last year by virtue of its conference title.
The two teams met in late March in Portland, and UO swept the doubleheader by scores of 3-2 and 2-0.
In the finale, sophomore Samantha Skillingstad (11-4) struck out 10 batters – two off her season and career high –and sophomore shortstop Kelsey Chambers (2-for-3) banged out multiple hits.
In the first game, freshman Jessica Moore (13-6) struck out 10, freshman right fielder Samantha Pappas went 3-for-3 with a walk, and junior catcher Kaitlin Vitek and freshman left fielder Allie Burger added 2-for-3 afternoons.
On Tuesday, the Ducks were tabbed No. 17 and No. 20 in the USA Softball and NFCA national polls – their seventh straight week in the top 20.
UO ranks second in the Pac-10 for the third straight week and next heads to Los Angeles for single games vs. No. 5 UCLA (33-9, 7-5) on Friday (4/30) at 7 p.m., Saturday (5/31) at 6 p.m. and Sunday (5/2) at noon. Live stats will be available at the www.UCLAbruins.com website.
Last weekend in Tempe, the Ducks ended a seven-game series losing streak to the then-No. 9 Sun Devils with a 7-4 win Saturday, while ASU won Sunday, 3-0, and Friday, 10-3.
