Ben DeJarnette: Ducks Celebrate Win with "Touchdown Jesus"

Hello Ducks fans!
I'm excited to report that our trip to South Bend, Ind., for the Notre Dame Invitational was a smashing success. Against a field full of ranked opponents, we posted a score of 69 points and came home with the win.
Luke Puskedra and Matt Centrowitz led us up front with an impressive 1-3 finish, while Danny Mercado, A.J. Acosta and I rounded out our top-5, finishing 18th, 20th, and 27th, respectively. Other highlights included Chris Kwiatkowski charging hard over the last mile to take 29th, and the freshman duo of Parker Stinson (36th) and Brian Shrader (48th) cracking the top-50 in their collegiate debuts.
On our cool down, we ran past the famed "Touchdown Jesus" mural and peered down the tunnel of Notre Dame Stadium, where the likes of Knute Rockne and "Rudy" once descended onto the field. Notre Dame has a truly spectacular campus, and the chance to explore it by foot was a great way to cap our trip to South Bend.
Looking ahead, we now have a week and a half to prepare for next Saturday's Dellinger Invitational, where we will welcome to town a field featuring the No. 8 Portland Pilots and No. 11 Wisconsin Badgers. The meet will be held at on Pre's Trail at Alton Baker Park with the women's race at 11:45 a.m., followed by the men at 12:30 p.m. I hope to see you there!
Until next time,
