Lanie Thompson: United Ducks Ready for Pac-10s

Hello Duck Fans!

I think we were all beginning to take advantage of the gorgeous weather we've been having these past few weeks of fall. Luckily, even with all of the rain the past two days, the women's cross-country team has managed to escape it (knock on wood). We are definitely gearing up for Pac-10's and ready to race hard. Our workouts the past few weeks have been going extremely well so we're ready to turn our hard work into results!

Other than getting ready for the championship portion of the season, it seems the team has been having some flashbacks from camp. We had a delicious team dinner where we laughed, ate, and of course, played the team's official game, BANANA GRAMS! It is really great that in the midst of training, homework, and midterms, we are all still able to put some time together to further the team's connection.

We know how important a team's bond is and we are willing to do what it takes to maintain the bond that we've been working towards all season. The best part about this is that we honestly don't have to try very hard. We enjoy spending time with one another, inside and outside of practice. Any one of us would pretty much bend over backwards to help another teammate out, in whatever it may be. This selflessness translates to a great team chemistry that will prove itself when the results start coming in.

And don't forget to bid on one of those cool pink uniforms that we wore at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. You can get your own part of the Ducks and help find a cure for breast cancer at the same time!

Thanks for all of your support throughout this season, Duck Fans! Until next time, GO DUCKS!
