U.S. Amateur Public Links Run Ends for Ducks
Friday, July 1, 4:00 p.m. PT

Daniel Miernicki and Andrew Vijarro saw their respective runs at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship end in the quarterfinals Friday on Bandon's Old Macdonald course.

Miernicki fell 6 and 4 to Derek Ernst of Clovis, Calif., and Vijarro went down 4 and 3 to top-seeded Corbin Mills of Easley, S.C.

The winner of the prestigious USGA event receives an entry into the 2012 Masters.
