Due to some technical difficulties in Dallas – namely a laptop that became uncooperative after cooling its keys from the blazing Texas heat with a splash of iced coffee – last week’s Duckcast never made it on the website. As it turns out, the roof at Cowboys Stadium was closed and the conditions were personally controlled by Jerry Jones himself.
Friday, Sept. 9, 5 p.m. PT
But this week, we’ve got a real outdoor college football game and an office full of functioning keyboards, so without further adieu, we present the official Week 2 Duckcast from Oregon AMS Vice President Bobby Corser:
"The Oregon Ducks return to Autzen Stadium to open the home portion of the 2011 season. The crowd will be pumped and the boys will be ready to take the field. One nice thing about playing in early September at home is generally good weather. The team won't have to worry about rain or wind as Nevada comes calling. Some of the Texas heat has followed us home. There will be beautiful blue skies overhead and it will be HOT. Temperatures will be in the mid 90's as the game progresses, feeling even hotter in the sunny parts of the stadium. Players, coaches, and media will be baking at temperatures near 120 degrees in the sunshine on the turf. Make sure to drink plenty of water if you're going to the game. Wear light clothing and something that keeps the sunshine from burning! Cheer on the ducks as we welcome home the two-time, defending conference champs!"
